報告論題：Aging and its macroeconomic consequences: An inverted U-shaped
endogenous economic growth
報告要旨：This study theoretically analyzes population aging and its
impacts on economic growth, wealth inequality, and fiscal
sustainability. We introduce lifetime uncertainty to the overlapping
generations model with heterogeneous households with varied
intertemporal preferences, where unintended bequests caused by death
are inherited by offspring. Aging can have both positive and negative
impacts on economic growth and fiscal sustainability: saving-enhancing
effects based on the life cycle theory and wealth-depletion effects
caused by extended longevity. When aging advances, saving-enhancing
effects are offset by wealth-depletion effects, which eventually
outweigh the former. The results show an “inverted U-shaped”
relationship between life expectancy and economic growth rate, or
fiscal sustainability. Numerical simulation reveals that aging can
produce a trade-off between economic growth and wealth inequality. We
also show that a rise in deficit or government expenditure ratio
exacerbates fiscal instability, economic growth, and wealth inequality
under certain conditions.

報告論題：Escaping the Middle Income Trap: The Role of Strategic Public
Investment and Industrial Structural Change
報告要旨：This study examines how the middle-income trap occurs in
developing economies and how fiscal policies and development
strategies can help countries avoid or escape this development
challenge. Using a dual-sector model with public investment in
infrastructure and education, we analyze how different policy choices
affect growth trajectories and development outcomes. The findings
suggest that appropriate fiscal policies and investment strategies are
crucial for avoiding development traps and achieving sustainable
economic growth, but insufficient infrastructure investment and high
tax rate can lead to stagnation of industrialization and economic
development, potentially leading to a middle-income trap. The model
also reveals an important relationship between poverty traps and
middle-income traps, showing that even after escaping from initial
poverty through external assistance, countries need appropriate fiscal
policies to achieve sustainable development.

報告論題：Financial Structure and Monetary and Fiscal Policies
報告要旨：The financial instability hypothesis of the heterodox economist
H.P.Minsky came to the fore as a result of the international financial
crisis triggered by the sub-prime mortgage crisis in the U.S. Many
post-Keynesian economists have developed Minsky’s arguments into
mathematical models that depict two types of Minskian financial
structures, which we identify as the lenders’ risk type (LR) and the
hedge, speculative, and Ponzi type (HSP). We examine the effects of
monetary and fiscal policy in macrodynamic models that consider both
the LR and HSP financial structures. We demonstrate that the effects
depend on the significance of those structures. We emphasize the
significance of stable financial structures and the mix of monetary
and fiscal policies needed to stabilize the economy. However, we show
that the policy mix is not able to eliminate the fragility of the HSP
financial structure completely.

報告論題：スラッファの存続可能性と剰余概念
報告要旨：産出量で投入量を割り技術係数に変換することをせずに、
経済分析を行うことを「商品の生産図式」を用いると呼ぶことにする。
「商品の生産図式」を利用し、主に数値例を用いて、
「自己でないものを補填する」状態の分析装置としての意義を問い直す。
また、最小単位の主体は代表的企業ではなく、商品であることの分析的含意にもふれる。
以上の分析を踏まえ、スラッファ文書も利用し、スラッファの剰余概念を再考する。

報告論題： 「カレツキはいかなる意味でケインズに対する先行性を主張したのか」
報告要旨： カレツキは1936年、ケインズの『一般理論』に対する書評において、「投資が全体の生産量を決定するとの命題はケインズと同様の方法で私の『景気循環理論』において証明されていた」「資本の需要と供給に関する類似した考えは私の『景気循環理論』において提出されていた」「私は、生産が貨幣賃金の変動から独立していることもまた私の『景気循環理論』において示していた」との3つの脚注を付けている。このことは、ポーランド語においてではあるが、カレツキが『一般理論』出版直後の段階で自らの先行性を主張していた証拠としてしばしば言及される。しかしながら、上記の主張、特に2番目の脚注の意味するところは必ずしも十分に理解されてこなかったように思われる。本報告では、『景気循環理論』を詳細に検討することにより、2番目の脚注がまさに流動性選好理論を指すことを明らかにするとともに、その他のカレツキのケインズに対する先行性や優位性を整理して明らかにするものである。

報告論題： 「ケインズの社会主義論―自由と計画の狭間で―」
報告要旨： 本報告ではケインズの社会主義論についての検討を行ない、以って彼の政治思想の特質とその歴史的意義を究明することとしたい。ケインズは、マルクス主義に対して何の共感も覚えなかったし、労働者階級の運動やそれを通じた社会の変革にもほとんど関心を示さなかった。それにもかかわらず、金儲けを人間行動の重要な動機ではなくさせようとするソヴィエト・ロシアの実験には大きな関心を寄せていた。またケインズは、私的資本主義と国家社会主義の独特の合成を試みることによって、危機に瀕しているヨーロッパ文明を救おうと考えた。彼は、このような自らの政治的立場を「ニュー・リベラリズム」あるいは「リベラル・ソーシャリズム」と呼んでいる。そして彼は、個人の自由と創意を守りつつ、完全雇用を実現するための方策として、長期計画にもとづき総投資の水準を国家が管理する「投資の社会化」を提唱した。こうしてケインズは、経済計画の拡張こそが自由な社会を守るための唯一の方法であると主張した。

報告論題： 「流動性のわな再々考——「貨幣を出してもそのまま持たれる」の系譜」
報告要旨： 「流動性のわな」は一般には利子率が最低限に張り付く事態と理解されているが、古くから、根岸隆、芳賀半次郎によって、実質貨幣需要の実質貨幣残高効果が微係数１となる事態とする解釈がなされていた。それと同じことが1990年代に、河野良太、二階堂副包によって独立に主張された。同じ1990年代に出た、クルーグマン、小野善康、大瀧雅之、斎藤誠の不況モデルの本質的仕掛けも、全く同じ貨幣市場のスラックにあったと言うことができる。1990年代にはこの流動性のわな解釈による拙著のマクロ教科書も出た。近年「ＭＭＴ的」と称されて出された斎藤と村瀬英彰のモデルも、ＭＭＴと言うよりは、貨幣市場のスラックに本質がある。世間では1990年代にこうした業績が集中した意義が意識されずに忘れられたようだが、「リフレ派」「ＭＭＴ」と言った誤解を生みやすい分類に替えて、「流動性のわなタイプ」という理論カテゴリーを提唱したい。

報告論題： Capital and inventory investments under quantity constraints: A
microfounded Metzlerian model
報告要旨： Although modern analyses of inventory dynamics identify the
implicit roles of inventory holding, they do not entirely address its
primary role. Contrary to intuition, the existence of inventory does
not mitigate business cycle since the production fluctuates more
aggressively than sales. This study analyzes the correlation between
the current quantity constraints and choices in intertemporal
optimizations by modeling inventory dynamics. The economy’s quantity
constraints are reflected in a representative firm’s optimization of
its current employment and investment based on the perceived sales
constraints. Using analytical and numerical methods, the results show
that the Metzlerian cycle of inventory and sales expectations survives
under the canonical intertemporal optimization framework, as the
stable inventory-to-sales ratio is reproduced. Additionally, this
Metzlerian model illustrates the qualitative aspects of inventory
dynamics in the business cycle. However, the quantitative aspects are
not reproduced through the optimization framework because the firm’s
control is based on a stationary growth path, thereby weakening the
effects of sales expectation dynamics.

報告論題：シュンペーターの貨幣の信用理論と貨幣的サーキット理論報告要旨：本報告では，シュンペーターの貨幣の信用理論を具体的に展開するうえで，ポスト・ケインズ派の貨幣理論の伝統の一つである貨幣的サーキット (monetary circuit) 理論に依拠しながら，両者の異同あるいはシュンペーター的特徴を明らかにする。具体的には，貨幣的サーキット理論では，信用は生産手段であり貨幣は取引手段であるとして，信用フローと事後的な貨幣ストックとを明確に区別するが，これがシュンペーターのいう貨幣の信用理論に相当するものか否かを明らかにすることが主な論点である。報告では，タイトルの先の論点として，ストック・フロー・コンシステントな分析枠組みとの関連についても言及する。本研究は，拙稿 (2021：季刊経済理論，58(3)) で論じたシステム・ダイナミクスの枠組みに貨幣的側面を導入していくための準備段階に位置づけられる。

報告論題： Numéraire and the Dual Equation with a Critique of Sraffian
Wages paid post factum
報告要旨： This article argues that if and only if a set of means of
consumption is chosen as the numéraire, the unique property of the
double dualities appears between the price system and the quantity
system, and the dual equation between them can be constructed. The
dual equation is uniquely solved without reference to the constant
propensity to save once any one variable out of profit rate, wage
rate, growth rate, or consumption rate is exogenously given. Another
contribution is the construction of a simple “nutshell economy”
abstracting complicated input-output relations, in which even
exploitation of workers is transparent without reference to labor
value. It is along the tradition of the “classical political economy”
of Smith, Ricardo, Marx, Leontief, and von Neumann. It presents,
however, a critique of the widely shared assumption of Sraffian wages
paid post factum: the Sraffian model does not guarantee reproduction
of labor force in the quantity system. The article also claims that if
we define the numéraire as a set of the minimum subsistence goods and
services that are physiologically and socially necessary for
reproducing one unit of labor force, such a variable numéraire serves
as an “invariable standard of value” over time and national
boundaries.
